Local Prospect Road business, Prospect Pool and Spa recently cleaned up in awards (not just in the pool!). To celebrate, we spoke to the friendly Prospect Pool and Spa team.
Network Prospect: When did you locate your business to City of Prospect?
Mark: We opened the business in October 2016
Network Prospect: Why did you decide to do business in City of Prospect?
Mark: We’d previously been a wholesale supplier to the pool and spa industries in South Australia & Northern Territory for 11 years and in that time recognised the concentration of swimming pools in the near northern and north-eastern suburbs, which historically, had been under-serviced. When we decided to move from wholesale to retail, the Prospect area was our priority location.
Network Prospect: How many people do you employ?
Mark: Three – two service personnel and myself.
Network Prospect: Can you tell us about your products?
Mark: We supply a massive range of products for pools and spas including chemicals, Dolphin robotic pool cleaners, manual cleaning products and accessories, saltwater chlorinators and replacement chlorinator cells, Davey pumps and filters, water testing products, Kreepy Krauly spare parts and pool toys.
Network Prospect: Can you tell us about your convenient mobile services?
Mark: We have two servicemen on the road servicing pools, one of which was crowned pool technician of the year in South Australia by the Swimming Pool and Spa Association, the industry’s official representation body. They undertake pool cleans, on-site water testing and balancing, equipment inspections, repairs and installations, filter sand changeovers and pool solar heating system design, repair and installation. We cover a large area from North Adelaide to Salisbury, Modbury to West Lakes and the eastern suburbs to Henley Beach
Network Prospect: Congratulations are definitely in order for the whole team at Prospect Pool and Spa! What is your business’ point of difference? What is your recipe for success?
Mark: Service! Service! Service! We work hard at responding to customer inquiries quickly and thoroughly and add value to our customer relationships when and where possible.
Our shop if fresh, modern, spacious and well stocked, providing a pleasant shopping environment.
Network Prospect: How can Prospect Pool and Spa cure the winter blues? Are you running any promotions in the lead up to the warmer weather?
Mark: We will, very definitely. It’s a little early yet but ‘watch this space’.
Meanwhile pool owners need to be aware that with heavy rains comes an increased risk of a green pool. Rain carries phosphates and if a pool is low in chlorine the phosphates provide great feeding for algae growth and a pool can turn very quickly. If in any doubt about their water quality pool owners should bring a water sample into the shop and we will test it (free of charge) using the latest computerised water analysis equipment.
Well done Mark and the Prospect Pool and Spa team!
